OUR Senior Pastor
Dr Hyacinthe

Dr. John Wesley & Dr. Genita Noel Hyacinthe

DR. JOHN WESLEY HYACINTHE/ EE, MDIV., DMIN.

Born and raised in a Christian home as a PK (Pastor’s kid). Dr. Hyacinthe grew up with his father, Rev Pastor Prosper Hyacinthe, who ministered for the Kingdom since his adolescence and served the Lord as Pastor faithfully for more than sixty (60) years.

He had the privilege of having his father as a professor in pastoral ministry and a mentor in leadership.

He came to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at the age of nine (9) and was baptized years later. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ during a Thursday evening service at the church where his father ministered at the time in the city of Estère, Gonaïves, Haiti. Through active involvement in the church’s children and youth ministries, He began to sense God’s calling for the work of ministry. But it was during his senior year in high school that His calling became apparent to him. Even though he accepted the call, he bargained with the Lord to be allowed to serve as a professional Engineer before entering the pastoral ministry.

His journey before becoming a Shepherd took him through various ministry opportunities in several local churches, College experience in Engineering studies, Seminary education, and professional experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.

He surrendered himself completely to God’s calling in 2014, following the passing of the late Pastor Wilson Usler Auguste, to focus entirely on the pastoral ministry. He firmly believes that God has stirred that desire in his heart and empowered him with the necessary gifts to serve Him through pastoral ministries.  He is committed to helping others experience God’s love, nurturing their spiritual development, enabling them to discover their spiritual gifts, and equipping them for effective ministry (Eph 4:11-12).

Dr. John Wesley Hyacinthe met his wife, Dr. Genita Noel Hyacinthe, in Miami, FL, where both attended Bethany Baptist Church of Miami. Later, they found out that they attended Elementary school at two schools side by side in the city of Port-de-Paix, Haiti. In December 1993, Dr. Hyacinthe professed his love to his charming wife, Genita. On December 23, 1995, they were wed in the presence of the Lord, surrounded by more than 400 people: family, friends, and church family. The Lord blesses them with all kinds of blessings, but not the blessing of children. They came to understand that it was God’s plan all along, because they would never leave their flourishing careers behind; they gave up EVERYTHING they had or could have had to come to Florida to shepherd the church of the Living God. It would have been irresponsible!
