THE PRAYER MINISTRY IS VITAL WITHIN THE CHURCH’S ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE.

Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”. Three times in the New Testament (Matt 21: 13, Mark 11: 17, Luke 19: 46) Jesus refers to “My house shall be called a house of prayer” that was first written in the Old Testament in the book of Isaiah (Isa 56: 7).

Isaiah 56: 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

OTHER SCRIPTURES THAT EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER:

Matthew 18:19, 20 “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”

Acts 1:14 they all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another —and even more as you see the Day approaching.

Philippians 4:4,6 “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice…Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,”.

Ephesians 6:19 Paul said: “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.”

In Romans 15:31 Paul said: “Pray that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there.”

In 2 Thessalonians 3:1 Paul said: “brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.”

And in Colossians 4:3-4 Paul says: “pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.”

PASTOR’S VISION FOR THE PRAYER MINISTRY

A church where prayer is at the center of everything we do.

MISSION

The prayer ministry at Église Baptiste Béthanie de Fort Lauderdale exists to transform lives and empower believers in prayer.

  1. Prayer is the essence of our lives. We cherish our relationship with the Lord by investing our time in prayer continuously. We rely on private and corporate prayer in all aspects of our church, from planning to execution and activities of all the church ministries (Matthew 7:7-11).
    1. We believe that God desires His people to pray. We believe that God answers prayers according to His will (James 5:13-18).

THE CORE VALUES OF THE CHURCH [Acts 2: 42]

  • Apostles’ Doctrine––The Word of God
    • Fellowship
    • Breaking of Bread––Communion (Lord’s Supper)
    • Prayer

PRAYER MINISTRY

Reinvigorate prayer in the church. The devil is undoubtedly at work in the world. The lifestyle of many of our families within the body of Christ proves that the devilis at work. We must bind the enemy by praying for the hurting families. We must intercede before God to raise strong leaders in this area.

Prayer can transform a church, impact a community positively, and empower believers to live a life of sanctification.

A church that prays together stays together and lives in harmony with great joy and devotion in the church’s ministries.

Église Baptiste Béthanie de Fort Lauderdale must be a House of Prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56: 7; Mark 11: 17). Refer to the prayer of dedication of the temple on September 12, 2021.

For the church prayer ministry to be effective in its ministry, each and every brother and sister in the prayer ministry team must learn to deny themselves. They must live in harmony so that the Holy Spirit can exercise his will freely among them.

In Matthew 18: 19, Jesus declares to his disciples that “if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”  You see, the agreement is the force of our prayers. The harmony among brothers and sisters in the prayer ministry is indispensable. To agree to live in harmony is a powerful force for the prayer ministry. The hearts must be together for the prayers to be effective.

Therefore, the prayer ministry team must take the commitment to live a life of sanctification.

When the church prays powerfully, God acts powerfully in the church.

Jesus continues to say, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15: 7). You abide in Jesus when the Word of God abides in you. When the Word of God abides in you, you are living in the will of God. Because you are living in the will of God, your prayers will be according to the will of God.

The Manifestation of God’s power in the church depends on how effective the church’s prayer is.
